Yeray Alvarez underwent a surgery for a removal of a testicular tumor at the end of last year. Recently he has signed a new three-year contract with Athletic Bilbao.
The new contract will keep the 22-year-old footballer there until 30 June 2022 year. The liberating clause, which is included in his contract with the club is worth 30 million euros.
`I feel amazing. I am very excited about the signing of a new contract. I want to continue to grow as a football player and help the team as much as possible. I hope that we can get the maximum forward into the Europa League tournament.`, said Alvarez.
He is a product of the Academy of Athletic, and on 15 September he had made debut for the first team, after which he earned his titular place at the team of the senior coach Ernesto Valverde.
Yeray Alvarez has had 18 appearances for Athletic Bilbao in all competitions, including 11 matches analyzed by paid soccer picks in La Liga.
