Samantha Stosur won the title of the tournament according picksmachine in Bad Gastein. At the final the Australian won with 3:6, 7:6 (3), 6:3 Karin Knapp (Italy). For Stosur it is a second title of the season and the eighth in total in her career. Earlier this year the Australian won the trophy in Strasbourg.
For Knapp, it was the second three-sets game during the day, after earlier she won with 7:6 (4), 4:6, 7:5 in the semifinal match, which was postponed, because of the rain.
The 43th ranked Knapp missed the second title of the season after previously triumphed in Nuremberg.
