Monaco - Juventus (Champions League)

Monaco and Juventus face against each other in a decisive second meeting of the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The clash of the "Stade Louis II" will be played on Wednesday evening. A week ago in Torino, Juventus won with 1:0 after a goal by Arturo Vidal from a questionable penalty. The hosts are considered outsiders, as the coefficients for their success is around 3.40. Guests from Italy are favorites to win the game, as the rate of the "Old Lady" is 2.38 and the draw is estimated at 3.25.

Monaco missed the victory against Rennes in Ligue 1 at the weekend and finished with a draw of 1:1. After a goal in 87 minute, the team from France lost the deserved success and an additional dose of confidence before the second leg with Juventus. The game against the Italians will miss the injured Lacina Traore, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Geoffrey Kondogbiaand and Jeremy Toulalan. Leonardo Jardim will act in midfield in the absence of the usually holders in the scheme. The Portuguese manager will rely on more offensive scheme and fast attacks on the wings by Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco and Matheus Carvalho. Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov will be the main threat to the Italian defense on Wednesday night. After the penalty error a week ago, the experienced Ricardo Carvalho will stay on the bench and his place in the center of defense will take Brazilian Wallace, who will partner with Aymen Abdennour.

Juventus almost secured the title in Italy after the second success over Lazio with 2:0 over the weekend. The victory increased the Bianconeri on top of the standings with 15 points advantage and only 7 rounds before the end of the "race" in Italy. Now, Max Allegri and his staff can fully focus their forces in the Champions League. With injuries in the camp of Juve are Kwadwo Asamoah, Martin Caceres, Romulo and Paul Pogba. In attack Allegri will bet on Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez with the task to harass the clumsy French protection.

We expect a tactical outwitting. The bet for this match is huge and both teams can boast a strong defensive game. In view of this our forecast via soccer picks is for fewer than 2.5 goals in the match between Monaco and Juventus on Wednesday night.

Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.53 at bet365
